My new brother!

Well, here he is! We have been waiting so long for this precious spirit to enter our home, and he is finally here! Isn’t he beautiful? I got to hold him too!!! He is here! I still can’t believe it. He has an adorable little head the size (in my opinion) of a large orange. He is so squishy, I know, weird thought, but he is! Thing 1 is in LOVE with the little one, it’s so funny. He got to hold him first, and when it was our turn, he walked up to us and told us, very seriously that it was HIS turn to hold the baby and not ours. Cute!! Next to the baby, Thing 1 is HUGE! I love my family.

Thing 2’s debut

Okay, I’ve done a little journal leading up to my baby brother’s birth. Here it is:

4:42- Mom and dad are all packed, time to go. Hugs all around, family prayer, final goodbyes (until the baby’s born), and then- they leave!
5:01- Time to try to go back to sleep, HA! Probably no progress in that department.
6:19- Ugh, time to get up. Only about an hour before he shows up, so I guess it’s okay.
6:45- A PHONE CALL! Aw man, false alarm. Just a relative awaiting the news also. Maybe later…
(Unknown time) They’re in the OR!
7:50- THING 2 IS SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!! MY DAD JUST TEXTED AND HE IS GORGEOUS!!!! I’M CRYING!
8:08- Thing 2 is 7 pounds, 14 ounces, 20 inches. He has red hair, and he is just opening his eyes for the first time. He is screaming his little adorable head off to the phone, and I’m in love!

I haven’t been the best blogger lately, so here’s an update:
Finals! Math, science, English, drama and history! Not to mention solos too. I will be singing “Rubber Ducky”, and yes, that IS from Sesame Street. But Ernie rocks, so I figured, what the heck? Drama is sooo fun! We’re each doing a scene from Arsenic and Old Lace as groups, it’s really cool. I can’t believe it’s almost the END of seventh grade! I just started, it seems! I also did an English project for Twelfth Night, (or what you will) and that is a GREAT play, really funny. So anyway, last time I did a project, I did a spoof on Oprah: The Hopebrah Linseed show. That was a success, but this time, I had no idea what to do. So I finally just decided to do the classic big cardboard poster. But, here’s the kicker:

I faked a last-minute project! HA!!! I put a little wimpy version made with posterBOARD (now if that’s not wimpy what is?) and right before class started I ‘freaked out’ and did a dumb stick figure project with a sloppy love triangle on the side. My teacher FLIPPED OUT. It was so funny! HA HAHAHAHAHA!
